I love chillies and I love food, it’s as simple as that.
This passion for both saw me develop Jimmy Ginger’s range of chilli sauces, condiments and rubs.
It all started back in 2006 when I gave chilli growing a go in the back garden, experimenting with a few different varieties. The summer was a scorcher and the crop was a success. Too much of a success, it turned out, as, despite my love of everything spicy, the bumper crop was overwhelming for not only me but for my family and friends as well.
Sweet Chilli Relish was born and was an instant hit. Orders came rolling in and were supplied in old jam jars and bottles at a favourite sandwich shop near St.Pauls close to my day job.
I invested in a greenhouse and have been playing around with different varieties every year since. Things started to get serious in 2013 when we were kindly offered use of a poly tunnel, increasing production to 11 varieties and over 600 plants.
All the while, after enlisting the help of the family, we have been cooking, pickling, smoking and drying to develop our range of excellent chilli products. Our products contain great quality ingredients, such as vine ripened tomatoes, sweet peppers, onions, mangoes, which are prepared from fresh by us, which is one of the reasons why they are so tasty.
This Christmas, we have got some fantastic gourmet hampers and gift boxes, containing delicious sauces, pickles, dried and smoked chillies, for you to spice up your meals.
